2013 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks – 2013 Coach

47 years old Shane Flanagan is a former professional rugby player and the current head coach for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks team in the National Rugby League competition played in Australia. Born on 2nd December 1965, he played 78 games as a player scoring 3 tries between 1988 and 1994. Ever since he has been with the Cronulla Sharks team from the latter part of the 2010 season, he has coached them in 56 games, winning 21 of them. He has been nick named ‘Flano’ on the playing circuit deriving from his last name. He was given the job of the Sharks’ head coach six weeks before the end of the 2010 season when their head coach, Ricky Stuart resigned. He did not have a great start as a coach as his team lost their first 3 matched under him.
